Professional Learning Resources
Inside MathematicsThe Inside Mathematics site is a wonderful resource for teachers looking to see what a CCSS-M classroom could look like. The site contains videos of coached lessons, along with planning and debriefing sessions. Teachers can use these videos to gain insight into how math class should look under the new standards. Leaders can use this resource with their teachers to develop a common vision (i.e.- in a modified "lesson study" format, or as the focus of a PLC conversation).
Annenberg Learner ExpressThe Annenberg Learner Express has archived videos of students working on tasks and exhibiting behavior consistent with the Mathematical Practices. The videos are arranged by Math Practice, not by grade level. The videos are useful as examples to teachers about quality math instruction and quality discourse.
NCSM - Leadership in Mathematics EducationThis is the website of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics. It has a great many free resources for use by leaders in mathematics education. Specifically, the Leadership Resources, CCSS, and Coaching Corner tabs will be very useful for locating resources.
