Non-Mathematics Performance Tasks
These tasks were created by AAESA teachers in conjunction with the Linda Jordan Performance Tasks Series in 2013-14. The tasks below are not directly math-related, but are excellent examples of performance tasks. These tasks have not been juried or tested in any way at this time. They are DRAFTS only.

Social Science Performance TasksEconomics - C in C CitiesThis is an economics performance task that crosses content areas into ELA. The task has multiple stimuli, requires internet research, and culminates in a written report. Rubrics are provided.

US History - Life as a Runaway SlaveThis performance task involves students' use of a web simulation of life as a runaway slave. Students are required to create a scrapbook and journal of their experience in the simulation. A verbal presentation follows.
